There are many benefits to becoming a Doctor of Acupuncture, but we’ve narrowed them down to the top 4 reasons:

1. You will be trusted and respected in your field– You are receiving the highest distinction in the field of Acupuncture. With this degree, you will increase trustworthiness and credibility with your patients. You will also achieve degree parity with existing Doctors of Acupuncture and other healthcare professionals (DPT, DC, OT.D, etc).

2. Teach in doctoral level programs. In the future, it will be required to hold a doctoral level degree in order to teach in Doctor of Acupuncture programs and other doctoral programs.

3. You are more competitive in the field.  Students that graduate with a Doctor of Acupuncture degree hold a competitive edge compared to those with a Master’s level degree. Many patients may prefer to see an Acupuncturist with a Doctor of Acupuncture degree. This leads to higher salary potential and referral opportunities with other medical professionals.

4. Become an expert researcher and published author! DAc students complete courses specific to research including Medical Research Methodology and Research Proposals: From Creation to Publication.
