Diversity, Education & Inclusion (DEI) Committee

The Won Institute is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. The DEI committee provides vision and leadership to create a welcoming and respectful environment that enables everyone to perform to their fullest potential. To embrace the differences of students' and employees’ in age, color, disability, culture, ethnicity, family, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, accessibility, socio-economic status, veteran status and other characteristics that make our community special.

Values

  1. Continued respectful communication and cooperation within the Won Institute Community.
  2. Contribute to a richness in the organization by having a variety of views, approaches and actions to use in strategic planning, tactical planning, problem solving, decision-making and immigration status.

Goals

  1. Educate the Won Community on the tenets of diversity, equity and inclusion to serve as a guide for everyday interactions.
  2. Use DEI initiatives for the benefit of recruitment and success of students, faculty and staff.
  3. Inform all members of the community how to report and resolve individual or group discrimination.

Won’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee is developing ways to make the institute more diverse, equitable and inclusive for all members. It’s challenging and rewarding work and we’d like everyone engaged.
