The Won Institute offers a variety of professional degree and certificate programs aimed at preparing graduates for employment in a variety of helping professions, such as: acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Won Buddhist ministry.





International Applicants

International applicants MUST:

  • Complete the same admissions requirements as domestic applicants.
  • Provide all post-secondary transcripts. If the university/college attended is outside the US, a course-by-course transcript evaluation is required by a (NACES) National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member.
  • Applicants who are non-native English speakers are required to take either the Internet based (iBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Test (IELTS). The TOEFL has an Internet Based Test and Paper Based Test option. The minimum required scores are listed below.

The TOEFL or IELTS score report is required only if English is not your native language or if you have not completed a baccalaureate degree, or higher, taught in English at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education (or from an equivalent English language institution in another country). Students who have completed a degree in the U.S may be required to take the TOEFL or IELTS if their admissions essay and/or interview show serious deficiencies in their written, listening or speaking English

  •  Submit their application by the international student deadline of June 1 for Fall term, October 1 for spring term.
