COVID-19 Updates

To support you during this challenging time, join us daily for virtual live evening chanting and enjoy our meditation and tai chi videos here.

Now Offering Telehealth Visits

Won Institute of Graduate Studies is currently closed following government regulations concerning the Covid-19 pandemic. We are not able to provide acupuncture or herbal medicine services in our student clinics but we can provide telehealth visits that may help you navigate our current world.

In general, telehealth is the distribution of health-related services and information via electronic information and telecommunication technologies. It can facilitate patient and clinician interactions and provide care, advice, reminders, education, monitoring, and remote admissions when face-to-face contact is prohibitive.

At Won Institute clinics this is what you can expect during your telehealth videoconference:

The session will be 30 to 45 minutes. We will discuss your health concerns as well as look at your tongue. We will offer self-care strategies to help you manage your health. Some of the tools our interns offer may include:

• Herbal consult

• Dietary recommendations

• Meditation and Breathing Techniques Advice

• Exercise Advice

• At Home Acupressure and Meridian Massage Instruction

• Earseed instruction

What will you need for your telehealth visit:

• A laptop, desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet with a camera and microphone

• An internet connection

• We will be using Zoom for our meeting. You will receive a google calendar invitation with a link

• A quiet room with good lighting.  For the best image quality reduce the amount of light coming from windows behind you.

• Soothing music and/or reading material while you are waiting in the breakout room.
