Our Accreditation Process and Status

There are two accreditation processes for the Won Institute. The first is achieving Middle States Accreditation for the Institute. The second is obtaining programmatic accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) for the Acupuncture Studies Program.  Middle States accredits the Institute as a whole. ACAOM accredits the Acupuncture Program specifically.

Institute Accreditation Status

The Won Institute is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (215-662-5606).  The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The next scheduled accreditation review is 2023.

Acupuncture Program Accreditation Status

As of February 11, 2015 the Master of Acupuncture program of the Won Institute of Graduate Studies was re-accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners.
