Admissions
All applicants must complete the application form, submit two letters of recommendation, a letter of intent, official transcripts, and pay the $75 application fee. Additional requirements and deadlines are outlined below.
United States Residents:
Acupuncture Studies Program
Applications are accepted throught the year with new students beginning only in the fall. Completed applications are reviewed for admissions on November 15, March 15, and June 15. Individuals interested in the program may apply before completing the prerequisites listed below.
Prerequisites:
Bachelors Degree
3 Credits Basic Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc. completed prior to enrolling)
6 credits A&P (3 credits prior to enrolling; 3 credits prior to your second year)
Chinese Herbal Certificate Program
Applications are accepted throught the year with new students beginning only in the fall. Completed applications must be submitted by August 1. Students who are currently enrolled in an ACAOM-approved acupuncture program must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and provide letters of recommendation from current faculty members familiar with the applicants work.
Prerequisites:
Applicants must either:
A) Be a licensed acupuncturist with a Bachelor's Degree
B) Have graduated from an ACAOM-approved Acupuncture program
C) Be currently enrolled in an ACAOM-approved acupuncture program
Applied Meditation Studies Master's Degree
New students can begin the program in the fall or spring term. Applications for the spring term must be received by December 1. Applications for the fall term must be received by August 1.

Bachelors Degree

Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree with significant experience
Won Buddhist Studies Program
New students can begin the program in the fall or spring term.Applications for the spring term must be received by December 1. Applications for the fall term must be received by August 1.
Prerequisites:
Bachelors Degree in Won Buddhism or Asian Studies or Bachelors Degree and completion of the Preparatory Won Buddhist Studies program
International Students:
The requirements for admissions are the same for international applicants with the exception of the application deadline and TOEFL requirement. For international students applying for admission for the fall term, applications must be completed by June 1. For international students applying for admission for the spring term, applications must be completed by October 1.
All international applicants who completed an undergraduate degree where instruction was conducted in a language other than English must complete the TOEFL.
Transfer Students:
Any student interested in transfering credits into a given program must submit a completed application as outlined above and pay an additional $75 transfer credit evaluation fee. Each program has its own limit on the number of credits that may be transferred into the program. For full details, please refer to the catalog.
