Our Faculty Panelists – Daniel Nemer & Heather Shultz

On Saturday, February 17th The Won Institute held the first of a series of Open Houses scheduled for 2018. The Institute held various events for prospective students including student and faculty panels. Insun Park provided the opening mediation and Ben Griffith, Academic Chair of the Acupuncture Studies program welcomed everyone to the school and provided an overview of the acupuncture program and course selections.

“Having attended many open houses with my boys as they looked at colleges thepast few years, very few were as organized and informative”

The faculty panel featured Ben, Daniel Camburn, a master herbalist, acupuncturist, and qi gong doctor, who has been studying and practicing Chinese Medicine for over twenty years, Mary Ellen Scheckenbach, licensed practitioner of Oriental medicine with 25 years of clinical experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbology and Heather Shultz, president of the Association for Professional Acupuncture (APA)  who has eight years of experience as an acupuncturist and 12 years working in the field of biomedicine alongside health care providers. The student panel was hosted by third year acupuncture students Charles Illingworth and Chaliyah Penick.

In addition, Jennifer Cake hosted a tour of the school and its clinics and answered many of the questions from the prospective students.

Overall, it was a very successful day and we look forward to seeing the ACS class of 2019 on campus in the fall!
