Six Fishes Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology is a long-established Acupuncture Practice in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of Philadelphia.
We have a long-term patient base and strong word-of-mouth referrals. We are looking for team players, confident in their skills, are motivated to grow a loyal following, have a positive growth mindset, and are eager to be busy.
Mandatory Skills, Education, Licensing Requirements:
Board Certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine by the NCCAOM
Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (OM degree) from an accredited institution
Current acupuncture license in the State of Pennsylvania
Exceptional time management and ability to treat multiple patients per hour
Willingness to learn and implement new techniques and treatment protocols
Confident and positive disposition
Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience but open to recent high-performing graduates
Holds a $1M/$3M professional liability insurance policy
Preferred Skills, Training, and Qualifications:
*Each practitioner at Six Fishes is welcome to emphasize their specialties; however, an interest in internal medicine, gynecology, and fertility is a plus.
*Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment and adhere to Clean Needle Technique protocols, complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and laws.
*Evaluate the effects of treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating a patient’s progress, changing when necessary, and advising patients about recommended treatment options.
*Document, monitor, and maintain accurate records (EHRs) regarding patient treatments.
*Adhere to strict HIPAA guidelines regarding patient health information.
*Provide confident, relevant, and relatable information for patients regarding the full benefits of acupuncture and herbal medicine.
*Create and communicate treatment plans for patients.
*ability to use modalities such as e-stim, cupping, and guasha when appropriate.
*Provide consistent and professional patient follow-up communication (e.g., email, phone) when appropriate.
*Passionate about Chinese herbal medicine and able to write custom herbal formulas
*Believes in our values of community engagement and life-long learning.
Compensation discussed at the interview.
*Office manager will handle main administrative tasks, including scheduling clients and client reception/check-out
*Completely equipped office with (massage table, external herbal preparations/products, a wide selection of prepared and custom herb formulas, cupping gua sha tools)
