Acupuncture Studies
Tuition for the three-year Master of Acupuncture Studies program is $16,900 annually. There is no part-time option.
Chinese Herbal Medicine Certificate
Tuition for the two-year Chinese Herbal Medicine Certificate Program is $2,467 per term for a total of six terms. There is no part-time option.
Won Buddhist Studies
The tuition for the WBS Program is $400 per credit hour. Full-time students are defined as those taking 7.5 credit hours or more. Part-time students are those taking less than 7.5 credit hours.
Preparatory Won Buddhist Studies
The tuition for the PWBS Program is $250 per credit hour. Full-time students are defined as those taking 7.5 credit hours or more. Part-time students are those taking less than 7.5 credit hours.
Applied Meditation Studies
The tuition for the AMS Program is $400 per credit hour. Full-time students are defined as those taking 7.5 credit or more. Part-time students are those taking less than 7.5 credit hours.
Applied Meditation Certificate
The tuition for the AMS Program is $400 per credit hour. Full-time students are defined as those taking 7.5 credit or more. Part-time students are those taking less than 7.5 credit hours.
Auditing Students
Auditing Students pay 2/3rds of the regular tuition fee. There is no Registration or Matriculation Fee for auditing students.

Financial Aid is in the form of scholarships or Federal Financial Aid. Institute scholarship programs include:
Song Eun Scholarship Fund
The Won Institute offers the Son Eun Scholarship Fund, which is available to any student, full or part time for tuition in WBS, AMS, and WBS Preparatory programs. Scholarship applications are available in the Administration Office.
Sung Dok Scholarship Fund
Sung Dok Scholarship is specially targeted to the English speaking students—full or part-time for tuition in WBS Preparatory program or in WBS program, and Won Buddhist ministerial students—full or part-time for tuition in AMS program.
Federal Student Financial Aid
The Won Institute meets the criteria for participation in the Federal Student Financial Aid program. To qualify for assistance students must meet the following basic eligibility requirements:
1. Demonstrated financial need
2. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
3. Registered with the Selective Service, if required
4. Not in default on a loan, or owe a repayment on Title Iv aid receive at an institution
5. Enrolled at least half-time in an eligible program of study
6. Maintain satisfactory academic progress
The first step is to complete an application for financial aid (FASFA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov, or at https://studentloans.gov The school code for the Won Institute is G39493. The FAFSA should be completed online at least one month prior to the start of classes, but may be completed as early as possible. As a graduate school, the only of type of aid a Won Institute student is eligible for is a Direct Loan or a Direct Graduate Plus Loan. Information about Direct Loans may be found at Studentloans.gov Currently the upper limit of the Direct Loan is $20,500 and the interest rate is 6.8%.
